The idea of coming up with a floor plan can be very scary for almost all the clients we work with. But it really doesn’t have to be. Suriano Homes has a thorough system that we operate by that ensures quality delivery for each of our client’s dream home design. The process is quite simple. Lot selection, and by that, we have to remember to make the lot selection appropriate. If we want a wide house on a narrow lot, that is a dream nobody can fulfill. So, keeping in mind the basic “look” you are going for, then selecting a lot that will allow for that dream to fit. If you are uncertain, you should definitely us up front first. Better to consult than to settle for second best. Who wants to regret a land purchase before you break ground?
Once we have all of that out of the way, we get to the fun part. We sit down with Tom, our very experienced builder. He listens as you share everything that you desire. He will talk budget, architectural review codes (if necessary), advantages of building up or out, and all the nuances you WILL NOT BE THINKING ABOUT. Tom will then hand the “Dream” off to one of our qualified C.A.D. designers. A floor plan is made!
But that is not all. Almost 100% of the time, changes must be made. So don’t panic, expect it! In our follow up meeting, we will rework entryways, window placement, outlet placement, tweak porch dimensions, etc. After resubmitting the ideas, our CAD design team will make the changes real time so you can see how you like or dislike the suggestions.
Now we are ready to roll! Don’t panic if the design is not finished in two or three meetings. It is ok. We are a team dedicated to getting it right with you. Suriano Homes knows that designing a custom home takes some patience, especially in the beginning phases of the design/build process.
